Railways to build 500 Multi Mode Cargo Terminals in next 3 to 4 years

New Delhi Oct 14 (UNI) To improve the seamless “integrated freight transportations” across the sector, the Indian railways is going to develop around 500 Multi Mode Cargo Terminals in the next 3 to 4 years with an estimated cost of Rs 50,000 crore, Railways said in a statement on Thursday.
“The terminal will be built under the Gati Shakti National Master Plan, to connect airports, highways, ports, and river waterways at one point for seamless transportation of different modes,” the Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Wednesday here.
“These will be the terminals where different modes transportation will be integrated at one point for seamless movement of goods across the country,” he added.
