Lucknow, Oct 15(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a social media campaign with the #HathDhonaRokeCorona on on World Handwash Day on Thursday, appealing to the citizens to implement the hand washing habit, to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Chief Minister himself washed his hands and addressed a virtual conference. Public representatives, officials and employees of various government departments performed hand washing in groups to spread awareness about its importance in fighting against COVID-19.
'Hand washing seems like a small exercise, but it protects a person from various diseases. During these these pandemic times, importance of hand washing has increased, but our culture always talks about regular hand washing,' the Chief Minister said, while addressing people in a virtual meeting.
