Punjab registers 888 fresh COVID-19 cases, 38 deaths

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) As many as 888 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 38 deaths were reported in Punjab on Tuesday, taking the infection tally to 1,20,016 and the death toll to 3,679.
According to the Health bulletin, the fresh deaths included five each in Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar districts, four in Ludhiana, three each in Amritsar, Pathankot and Ropar, two each in Barnala, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, Mansa, Patiala and Tarn Taran two and one death in Ferozepur district today.
It further said 147 fresh cases were reported from Bathinda district, 113 from Jalandhar, 87 from Amritsar, 80 from Ludhiana, 72 from Hoshiarpur, 55 from Patiala, 48 from SAS Nagar, 47 from Ropar, 31 from Gurdaspur, 29 from SBS Nagar, 25 from Ferozepur, 24 from Muktsar, 23 from Kapurthala, 20 from Sangrur, 15 from Mansa, 14 each from Fazilka and Faridkot, 13 each from Pathankot and Moga, eight from Tarn Taran, seven from Fatehgarh Sahib and three new cases from Barnala district.
