Hoshiarpur dist records 103 corona +ve patients

Hoshiarpur, Aug 27 (UNI) With Hoshiarpur district on way of becoming the "hub" of Corona in Punjab, it recorded the highest single-day rise of 103 new confirmed infections of novel COVID-19 and 2 new deaths on Thursday , taking the district's tally to 1327 and death toll to 35.
In a health bulletin here Thursday evening, a senior doctor stated that Nishan Singh (60) of Jalalpur and Sucha Singh (76) of Garhshankar succumbed to novel COVID-19 at hospitals at Jalandhar and Mohali, respectively.
The Health Department Thursday received reports of 1542 samples of which 46 people of Hoshiarpur, 13 of Mukeian, 9 each of Tanda and Dasuya, 5 of Talwara, 4 each of Harta Badla and Chakowal, 3 of Budhawar, 2 of Hajipur, one of Garhshankar and 7 from other districts were reported coronavirus positive.
