Hamirpur (HP), Sep 23 (UNI) As many as 11 people have tested positive for novel coronavirus in the last 24 hrs in this Himachal Pradesh district with 22 patients being cured in the same time frame, Chief Medical Officer Dr Archana Soni said.
She said that seven persons, including six from Bhoranj area, were found positive in the rapid antigen test. Those found positive include 6 people from village Bhoranj, 52-year-old man, 24-year-old man, 47-year-old woman, a 24-year-old youth, 47-year-old woman and 21-year-old youth. The seventh positive case is of a 66-year-old woman from ward number 6 of Hamirpur town.
She said that the antigen test was conducted on 96 people out of which seven were found infected with the disease.
The CMO said those four others who were found positive in the earlier bulletin included a fifty-four years old male from Manwin village; a 46 years old male from Patta village and a 23 years old male from Nara village of the district. Besides, a fourteen years old girl of Budhwin village was also found infected being the primary contact of a positive case.
She said that all these persons would be brought to Dedicated COVID care centres for treatment and isolation.
Meanwhile, the total number of positive cases in the district has reached 830 including 123 active cases. Five persons have lost their lives in the district and those cured were 702.
