Hamirpur RO takes stock of EVM strong rooms

Hamirpur, April 6 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer for Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat Amarjeet Singh on Saturday inspected the counting centre and EVM strong room of Lok Sabha elections and Assembly bypolls on the premises of Government College, Barsar.
The District Election Officer, who reached the college premises along with SP Padam Chand, ADC Manesh Yadav, SDM, Badsar Assembly Constituency Election Officer Rajendra Gautam, and other officials, took stock of various arrangements related to the counting centre and EVM strong room and gave necessary directions to the officials.
He said the EVMs of the polling stations falling under the Barsar assembly constituency will be kept in Government College, Barsar, and the counting of votes will also take place here. He said all necessary arrangements have been made as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to set up the vote counting centre and EVM strong room here.
