Three residential houses gutted in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 29 (UNI) A man died, and three residential houses were gutted in a major fire incident in the Jamalata area of old city Srinagar on Thursday evening.
The body of Bashir Ahmad was recovered from one of the gutted houses who died due to suffocation, Assistant Director of Fire and Emergency Service Aaqib Hussain told media persons at the spot.
Bashir along with his wife and son were trapped when the fire engulfed the house. However, the firefighters rescued his wife and child but he died due to suffocation, he said.
