Centre & Haryana govts started programmes for upliftment of poor: Haryana Minister

Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) Haryana Cooperation, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Dr Banwari Lal said on Friday that during the last seven years, the Centre and Haryana Government's programmes have focused on Antyodaya - welfare of the last person and launched several programmes and schemes dedicated to the upliftment of the poor.
The minister stated this while addressing a function organized by Baba Kundan Das Janseva Trust, Kanuka in Rewari on Friday.
Greeting people on the occassion of Navratri, Dr Banwari Lal said that on this holy occasion, the blessings of the Mother Goddess be upon all of us so that everyone is happy and is an integral part of development in the area. He announced financial assistance of Rs 11 lakh for developmental works of the track, library and village for the youth.
