Residents of Bara Gawan Ward 4 struggle with litter

Shimla, Mar 4 (UNI) The Bara Gawan Ward on the outskirt of the town is facing a growing problem of garbage as residents of Pateog wards of Shimla Municipal Corporation are dumping their solid waste in grazing pasture and private land belonging to local villagers.
The affected landowners have expressed their frustration at having their land being continuously used as a personal dumping ground.
A local resident Radhakrishna told UNI that a blatant disregard for environment and for property rights is causing a significant distress for the landowners, who have repeatedly brought the issue to attention of concerned authorities.
