AAP meeting discusses Punjab election strategy

Chandigarh, Apr 9 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bigwigs discussed nitty-gritties of the electoral strategy for Punjab on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
AAP's National Secretary Sandeep Pathak, two-time Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, party's Punjab Working President Principal Budh Ram, all Cabinet Ministers and MLAs attended the meeting.

Talking to the media, senior AAP leader and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said Mann, Pathak and Sanjay Singh shared their experience with the MLAs, constituency in-charges and AAP's Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab for upcoming elections.
"All our senior leaders shared their mantra in the meeting and told us how we are going to win all 13 seats in Punjab," said Cheema.
He said the meeting deliberated on propagating the state government's policies, decisions and works among every household of Punjab. "At the same time we will tell people how BJP is misusing ED and CBI to oppress democracy in our country," he said.

He said the Punjab government's two-year report card is "impressive" and the party's top leaders shared their opinion on how the party should apprise the people of he state government's achievements and pro-Punjab decisions.
"Our Lok Sabha candidates, volunteers and leaders will go door to door to talk to the people, they will hold street corner meetings. At the same time we will keep opposing the Anti-people policies of the BJP, their dictatorship, and they unannounced emergency the have clamped in the country," said Cheema.

The AAP leader said during the campaign the party will tell the people how its National Convener Arvind Kejriwal has been kept in jail in a "fake case" and how the ED and CBI are being sent every day against the leaders of the opposition parties.
"We will take all these things to the people of Punjab. Punjab has always opposed those leaders who have betrayed Punjab. The whole world knows that when the farmers' movement started, it first started from Punjab. BJP and Akali Dal brought three Black Laws and the farmers of the country fought against them and won."
He claimed around 750 farmers were martyred during the farmers' protest and the second time the farmers gathered for their rights, the BJP government opened fire on them.
Cheema said the people of Punjab will defeat the Akali Dal and BJP because they haven't forgotten the sacrilege incidents. He claimed the Congress has no chance in Punjab. UNI GS SSP
