Hamirpur (HP), Jan 19 (UNI) With elderly people made their presence feel in the elections in large numbers, the polling for the second phase of PRI elections is going up steadily in the district and about 62% voters have cast their votes by 2.00 P.M in the Hamirpur district today.
Bhoranj block was leading the table followed by Bamsan block, Sujanpur block, Nadaun block, Hamirpur block and Bijheri block.
An official spokesman claimed that people were reaching polling stations in large numbers to exercise their right of franchise.
The polling will end at 4.00 P.M and thereafter those suffering from COVID-19 would cast their votes.
