UP: Over 1.85 cr children admitted to schools in 2020-21

Lucknow, Feb 20 (UNI) In the academic year 2020-21, the Yogi government has facilitated admission of 1.85 crore children in schools under its ‘School Chalo Campaign’, official sources said here on Saturday.
Furthermore, the Government is providing books, school bags, shoes, socks and sweaters for boys and girls of council schools for free to ensure that the children of the state are not deprived of basic education for want of money.
As part of providing quality education for children, the State Government has appointed more than 1.20 lakh assistant teachers. The Government is also running around 5,000 Smart Classes to provide technology-based education for children in council schools.

Chandigarh, May 8 (UNI) Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Agarwal on Wednesday said that as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, any kind of political advertisements cannot be published in the print media without the permission of the State and District, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) on the day of polling or a day prior.
