CUHP got special status approval from UGC

Palampur, Mar 16 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shanta Kumar said on Saturday that it is a matter of happiness and pride for Himachal Pradesh that the Central University of Himachal Pradesh at Dharamshala has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
A special status has been granted by UGC. Among the hundreds of different universities in the country, the Central University of Himachal Pradesh is also among the eight central universities that have received this honor.
He said that this will raise the level of Central University, provide new facilities, and expand the work. Central University will also be able to start some new courses at its own level.
