Strive to make Sainik School, Sujanpur Tira among top three of schools : Anurag Singh Thakur

Hamirpur(HP), Oct 5(UNI)
Union Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Anurag Thakur on Tuesday urged the management of the Sainik School, Sujanpur Tira of the district to make the school among top three schools of India.

He said this while chairing a meeting of the LBA( Local Board of administration) of the school through the virtual medium.
He said that efforts would be made for the construction of auditorium and indoor stadium and shooting range in the school for the benefit of the students.

In this virtual meeting, various issues related to the school, especially infrastructural development, were discussed in detail.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that the only Sainik School of the state had achieved many commendable achievements and there was a need to improve its educational standards.

He asked the school authorities to move ahead by setting a target of bringing this institution to the top three in India "but for that you (the school authorities) would have to assess other necessary infrastructural facilities related to educational, sports and outdoor facilities for the school" he said.

He said that he would discuss with the state government for the construction of the auditorium and indoor stadium, shooting range and other facilities in the school and also make efforts himself.

Anurag Thakur also instructed the officials of Sainik School to prepare a proposal for a 10 meter shooting range. He said that later this shooting range can also be expanded. He also issued necessary guidelines to the officials regarding other issues related to the school.
Apart from the school officials, other members of LBA also participated in this meeting through virtual medium.
