Nitin Gadkari to lay foundation stone of National Highway projects in Hamirpur

Hamirpur/Shimla, Mar 5 (UNI) Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various road projects and bridges worth four thousand crore rupees under National Highways and CIRF in various districts of Himachal Pradesh in a function organised at the Police Ground, Dosadka, here on Tuesday. He also laid the foundation stone of the Bijli Mahadev Ropeway in Kullu district.
On this occasion, he said that these various projects worth about Rs 4000 crore will boost the development of Himachal Pradesh. He also gave detailed details of various projects going on under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in Himachal Pradesh and announced the speedy completion of these projects.
Earlier, while welcoming and expressing gratitude to Nitin Gadkari, Union Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs, and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that by laying the foundation stone and inaugurating the foundation stone worth about Rs 3000 crore for Hamirpur parliamentary constituency alone, it is a huge contribution to the people of the area. A gift has been given. He informed that the Hamirpur-Bilaspur road will be made four-lane, and about Rs 1 lakh crore will be spent on road projects in Himachal Pradesh in the next year. Himachal's first ring road will be built in Hamirpur. A state-of-the-art bridge will be built on Govindsagar Lake at a cost of approximately Rs 900 crore. Apart from this, billions of rupees will also be spent on many other road projects.
