MP capital to get 50 MLD water purification unit

Bhopal, Aug 25 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to dedicate to the public a 50-million-litres-per-day-capacity water purification plant constructed at Manuabhan Tekri on the state capital’s outskirts under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, it was officially learnt.
The event is to commence at 1130 hrs on Wednesday. A sum of Rs 418.37 cr has been approved under AMRUT for water supply here. The expenditure incurred on the plant was Rs 13.90 cr. Related expenses include Rs 5.30 cr for building the Intake Well-cum-Pumphouse at Karbala, Rs 12.10 cr on laying the raw water rising main, Rs 7 cr on five high-level tanks and Rs 28.50 cr on distribution pipelines and feeder mains.
