Chandigarh, Aug 31 (UNI) In a bid to further strengthen road network in the state and to ease increasing traffic congestion for the convenience of commuters, Haryana government is geared up to spend Rs 383.58 crore for the up-gradation of 83 roads with a cumulative length of 688.94 km under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the state.
Stating this here on Monday, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded administrative approval amounting to Rs 383.58 crore for up-gradation of these roads.
Besides this, he said, a new technology of using plastic waste will be used for upgrading (repair, widening, strengthening) of these roads, due to which the quality of the roads will increase and the public can avail the facilities of these roads for a longer period.
