HP celebrates 77th foundation day

Shimla, Apr 15(UNI) Amidst an aura of great fervor and gaiety Himachal Pradesh celebrated its 77th foundation day on Monday, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla led the state-level celebration at Shimla's historic Ridge Ground, overseeing the hoisting of the national flag and the majestic march past.
The event was also graced by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu who paid vibrant tribute to Himachal Pradesh's rich legacy and its remarkable journey of development.
In his address, the Governor hailed the formation of Himachal Pradesh on April 15, 1948, following the amalgamation of 30 princely states. He extolled the state's distinctive identity, characterized by its rich culture, lofty traditions, and breathtaking natural beauty, dubbing it 'Devbhoomi' - the land of Gods.
