Man booked for making fake video of father of victim in Asaram case viral

Shahjahanpur (UP), March 14 (UNI) A case has been lodged for making a fake video of the father of the rape victim in self-proclaimed Godman Asaram Bapu viral on social media, a senior police officer said here on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena said that the father of the victim met him on Wednesday and gave a complaint. "On the basis of the complaint a base has been lodged at Kotwali police station. In his complaint The victim's father has alleged that Asaram keeps spreading false propaganda against him on social media and YouTube through his followers," he said.
Referring to the case, he said that on Tuesday a man named Anil Sharma made a video viral on social media in which claiming to be the victim's father he could be heard saying, 'forgive me, my daughter has levelled false allegations'.
