Dalit pradhan's son kidnapped, murdered in UP

Lucknow, Oct 31(UNI) Dalits continued to be the prime target of criminals with a 12-year-old son of a former pradhan now kidnapped for ransom and later murdered by the criminals in Bahraich.
Police reports said here on Saturday that Ved Prakash Chowdhary, son of former pradhan Onkar Nath, resident of Majholi locality in Matera, had gone to attend tuition by Ram Asheesh Pandey in Tilak Inter College, also in Matera on last Thursday but did not return home.
The family members launched a search and when they failed, they lodged a case of his kidnapping with the local police. The family also received a call, in which the kidnappers demanded Rs 30 lakh as ransom for release of the boy. Ved is studying in class 5.
