UP: 2 arrested for murder in Jaunpur

Jaunpur (UP), Mar 7 (UNI) Two persons, including an advocate, were arrested by the police on Thursday for murder of a former village head in Mariahun are of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) DR Ajay Pal Sharma said that on March 4 Pratap Singh and his brother Sanjay Singh were attacked by advocate Sushil Yadav and his aides in Unchani village over election related and land dispute. "Both the brothers sustained serious injuries in the attack and were taken to the community health centre where doctors declared Sanjay Singh alias Munna dead," he said.
He said that a case was lodged against seven persons, including Sushil Yadav, in this regard. "On this the police arrested Sushil and his aide Rohit Yadav and recovered the axe used in the incident. Both the accused have been sent to jail," he said.
