Haryana: Rs 93,500 counterfeit currency seized, one held

Chandigarh, Sep 2 (UNI) Haryana Police have busted a gang involved in printing of fake currency after it seized counterfeit notes with a face value of Rs 93,500, a printing machine and 584 currency size papers in Sirsa district.
Stating this here on Wednesday, a spokesperson of Haryana Police said that police team had got secret input about printing of fake currency in Kharia village, where a person associated with printing and supply of fake currency.
Upon receiving information, a police team was constituted which conducted a raid and arrested a person from whom four currency notes in denomination of 2000, 167 notes in denomination of 500, nine notes of 200 and two notes in denomination of 100 were recovered, he said and added that police have also seized a printing machine and 584 papers in currency size.
