Punjab: CM assails opposition for running away from Guv. address debate

Chandigarh, Mar 4 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday slammed the opposition for 'running away' from the Governor's address and said it was unable to digest the path-breaking initiatives taken by his government for the state’s holistic development.
Winding up the discussion on the Governor's address in the Assembly, he said the opposition leaders are least bothered about the state or the people and their only aim is to grab political power by 'hook or crook'. He said while his government has been working tirelessly for farmers’ welfare, the opposition has been merely shedding crocodile tears on the issues of the food growers.
Mann said that due to their dubious role, these leaders were rightly rejected by the people
