SC community stage protest at Collectorate premises in UP

Bahraich, Oct 23 (UNI) Several locals from Gram Panchayat Govindpur in Mehsil Tehsil protested in the Collectorate premises alleging that people from the Scheduled Caste were being included in other castes, here on Friday.
Accusing the Panchayat Secretary and block officials of showing Scheduled Caste people in 'others' category, men and women raised slogans and protested.
As per the rural people, the Scheduled Caste people are not getting the benefit of government facilities since they are being added in 'others' category. No eligible villager got the benefit of housing while the number of people from the 'other' castes is zero in the village. Following the protest, all of them handed over a memorandum to the CDO and the District Magistrate.
