Mini green tubewell for farmers in UP

Lucknow, Oct 14 (UNI) With an aim to give an impetus to green energy, the Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to launch Community mini green tube well scheme where cluster of farmers will be provided with solar energy operated tube wells.
The decision was approved by the state cabinet in its meeting here on Wednesday, which was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Government spokesman said that under this scheme, a solar energy driven community tube well will be set up for minimum a cluster of 10 farmers. The estimated cost will be Rs 4.69 lakh of which Central assistance would be Rs 73,000 while state will contribute Rs 2.42 lakh. The rest amount of Rs 1.53 lakh will be shared by the farmers.
