Punjab: 43 liquor vends challaned for not following designated timelines

Chandigarh, Aug 27 (UNI) The Punjab Government has imposed lockdown in the state from 1900 hrs to 0500 hrs on all days and fixed the timing of opening of liquor vends upto 1830 hrs in all the Municipal Cities to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Acting tough on the violators, the Punjab Excise Department has challaned 43 liquor vends in the state for not following the designated timelines.
Giving details, the official spokesman said that 10 liquor vends in Jalandhar, 10 in Mohali, 6 in Amritsar, 5 in Ludhiana, 3 each in Hoshairpur and Gurdaspur, 2 each in SBS Nagar and Pathankot, 1 each in Patiala and Barnala have been challaned.
