Punjab : CM reiterates emphasis on curtailing his security

Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) Reiterating his emphasis on curtailing his security in order to curb VVIP culture in the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday asked the police department to assign only bare minimum number of security personnel with him.

During a security review meeting, the DGP Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota apprised the Chief Minister that the security personnel strength is being reviewed in view of his directions as well as the threat perception since he is an SPU protectee.

Sehore, MP, Nov 30 (UNI) Two motorcyclists were crushed by a sand-laden dumper near Paraswada village, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased in Monday’s incident were identified as Deviram and Banshi Lal Ahirwar. The two-wheeler got entangled in the heavy vehicle and was dragged along for a distance of about 2 km. The driver attempted to flee but was caught by a crowd and handed over to the authorities.
