Unauthorised de-addiction centre demolished, accused booked under PSA in J&K’s Samba

Jammu, Feb 28 (UNI) Administration on Wednesday demolished an unauthorised de-addiction centre constructed on encroached state land, and the accused was booked under Public Safety Act in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma, said that the administration, with the help of the police, would continue its drive against illegal construction on state land and drug peddlers and smugglers in the district.
“The administration has taken strict action against the encroachers of state land in the district. Under this mission to retrieve the state land from the encroachers, the administration has retrieved one kanal and 12 marla of state land (Khasra number 94) in village Birpur, Tehsil Bari Brahmana, during a drive conducted following proper verification on the ground with the assistance of the local police,” the Deputy Commissioner flanked by SSP Samba, Vinay Kumar Sharma, told reporters at a press conference.
