Farrukhabad (UP), Mar 19 (UNI) Three people were killed and one more was seriously injured when a van was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Jahanganj area of Farrukhabad district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammadabad Arun Kumar said that late on Monday night around 1:30 am a police team on picket duty received information that the van had been hit by an unidentified vehicle near Fauji dhaba.
He said that the police team reached the spot and pulled out four van passengers from the vehicle.
"The injured were taken to the government hospital in Chhibramau in Kannauj district where doctors declared Khilawan alias Deepu, Ramjete Prajapati and Anmol dead," he said.
The DCP said that one of the injured Shivam has been referred to a higher centre for treatment.
"The deceased were residents of Kannauj district. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination," they said.
