Bulandshahr (UP), Mar 4 (UNI) Three persons were killed and three others went missing after a van carrying a marriage party plunged into a canal in Jahangirpur area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Monday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that the incident took place on Sunday night when the van carrying eight persons plunged into the canal while crossing the bridge near Kapna village. "The PAC personnel, who were deployed nearby, rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation," he said.
He said that the PAC personnel pulled out Kanta (22), Manish (21), Anjali (18), Manisha and Arjun from the canal. "The injured were taken to the hospital where doctors declared Kanta, Manish and Anjali dead. Condition of Manisha and Arjun is stated to be stable," he said.
