UP: Three of a family die as truck hits bike

Mirzapur (UP), Mar 15 (UNI) Three members of a family were killed and nine others were injured when a truck hit an SUV and a motorcycle in Dramandganj area of Mirzapur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a police officer said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Om Prakash said that the incident took place near Barka turn when the truck hit the SUV and the motorcycle. "Govind Maurya (27), his sister Sita Devi (25), her three-year-old daughter and nine passengers of the SUV were injured in the incident," he said.
He said that the injured were taken to the hospital where Govind, Sita and her daughter died during treatment. "Condition of the other injured is stated to be stable. The truck driver has been taken into custody and the vehicle has been impounded," he said.
