UP: Five youths feared drowned in Hazara canal in Kasganj

Kasganj (UP), April 11 (UNI) Five youths were feared drowned while taking a bath in the Hazara canal in the Tatarpur area of Kasganj district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a senior police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Aparna Rajat Kaushik said Salman (16), Shahid (17), Jahid (18), Asif (22) and Abhishek (16) were missing. A rescue operation is being carried out to trace the missing youths," she said.
The SP said nine youths, all residents of Etah district, had gone to take a bath in the Hazara canal. "While taking a bath all the youths slipped into deep water and started drowning," .
