BJP MP and MLAs stand in pond to protest against guidelines on Chhath Puja

Ranchi, Nov 16 (UNI) Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth along with MLAs CP Singh, Naveen Jaiswal and Samri Lal and deputy mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargyee on Monday stood in water to protest against the directions of the government prohibiting the people from performing the festival at the water bodies in view of Covid-19.
MP Sanjay Seth said that the state government was doing the politics of appeasement to please a particular community.
He said that if the government was asking everyone to do Chhath in their homes then it should also construct reservoirs outside their homes. And, if the government was mulling such a plan, it should tell how it will get so much water to fill the reservoirs as there isn't enough drinking water for the people, he added.
