Two more arrested by Arunachal probe agency in NFR project’s land compensation scam case

Itanagar, Sep 29 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Police’s Special Investigation Cell (Vigilance), probing the alleged gross irregularities in fixation of land value and other assets coming along Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR)’s broad gauge railway line project in Pasighat, East Siang district and disbursement of compensations, arrested two more state Government officers, taking the number of arrests made in this connection to three.
“Following their arrest, key conspirator and prime accused Ennyo Nangkar, the then Director, Land Management, and Ojing Nangkar, the then DLRSO (District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer), Pasighat were sent to nine days police custody,” SIC (Vigilance) SP Dr Hemant Tiwari said here today.
Detailing about the case, the SP said the matter pertains to the gross irregularities committed by the various officials of Land Management and other departments in the process of fixation of land value and payment of compensation for construction of the Murkongselek-Ruksin section of 27-km-long Murkongselek to Pasighat railway line project.
