Agartala, Oct 14 (UNI) The council of ministers has approved the proposal for inclusion of new areas in 10 urban local bodies (ULBs) out of the total 20 as per the provision of Tripura Municipal Act 1994, said government spokesperson Ratan Lal Nath here today.
Besides, Agartala Municipal Corporation, expansion of area would be across Ranirbazar Municipal Council, Mohanpur Municipal Council, Bishalgarh, Melaghar Municipal Council, Khowai Municipal Council, Teliamura Municipal Council, Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat, Jirania Nagar Panchayat and Sabroom Nagar Panchayat, he said.
The election to ULBs is expected to be held in December next along with Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) poll and administration has been gearing up for holding the elections.
