Need to take decision on development of dangerous buildings in Bhiwandi: minister

Thane, Sep 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Vadettivar on Tuesday said that the question of unauthorized and dangerous buildings in Bhiwandi was a serious one and suggested to take a decision on their development.
Talking to media after visiting the building crash site at Bhiwandi, he said that a decision would be taken on the sanction of additional floor-space-index (FSI) and arrangements for their rehabilitation.
Announcing compensation to the dead and the injured, the minister wondered why the building was not vacated even after serving it a notice and made it clear that action would surely be taken on those responsible for the collapse of the building.
