nCoV: 3842 fresh patients detected in Chhattisgarh, 17 deaths

Raipur, Sep 18 (UNI) As many as 3842 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients have been found in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours, talking the tally to 81617 although 2614 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery on Friday. Seventeen patients who were infected with Coronavirus have died.
According to information received from health department, out of 3842 fresh cases maximum 672 belong to Raipur whereas 436 patients were found in Durg, 334 in Janjgir-Champa, 309 in Rajnandgaon, 302 in Bilaspur, 185 in Korba, 168 in Raigarh, 163 in Bastar, 145 in Bijapur, 133 in Dantewada, 118 in Dhamtari, 91 in Narayanpur, 90 in Balod, 65 in Kabirdham, 63 each in Sukma and Kanker, 62 each in Baloda-Bazaar, Surajpur and Sarguja, 56 in Bemetara, 51 in Mungeli, 47 in Kondagaon, 43 in Koriya, 38 in Gariaband, 35 in Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, Bemetara, 30 in Jashpur, 15 in Balrampur and 3 in Mahasamund. Three patients have come from other states. Process of their hospitalization is underway. Meanwhile, 2614 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery. Seventeen patients have died in various hospitals of the state. According to health department 7 of the deceased had co-morbidities.
Total 904770 suspected COVID-19 patients were identified in the state so far and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 81617 of them tested positive for COVID- 19. As many as 36580 active COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in various COVID hospitals of the state while total 35244 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery. COVID-19 also caused total 645 deaths in the state so far.
