National Seminar in MP capital on differently-able

Bhopal, Dec 8 (UNI) In an endeavour to make life easier for marginalised sections, a city-based non-governmental organisation (NGO) is conducting a two-day National Seminar on ‘Addressing Barriers in the Environment and Universal Design’.
The event commenced on Saturday at Aayaam Inclusion School and Mayor Alok Sharma was Chief Guest. The invitees' list includes Dr Himangshu Das – Director, National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities – Mr Gautam Singh, Mr JP Singh, Dr JS Grewal, Mr Sandeep Rajak, Mr Manoj Tiwari, Dr Raghvendra, eminent advocate JS Jha, Dr Ganesh Joshi, Mr Pankaj Maru and Dr RS Pandey, a release said.
Papers on the agenda comprise ‘Role of Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities’, ‘Need for Assistive Devices and Technology in Education and Employment for Persons with Disabilities’, ‘Importance of Universal Design for Learning of Persons with Disabilities’, ‘Role of Barrier Free Environment in Every Sphere of Life for Persons with Disabilities’, ‘Awareness about the Latest Technological Developments in the Field of Rehabilitation Sciences’, ‘Role of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in Classroom and Workplace Adaptation’, ‘Latest Developments in Audiometry, Ear Mould Technology and Hearing Aids’ and ‘Role of Prosthetics and Orthotics in Accessibility and Mobility’.
