National Health Scheme Laqshya launched in Nagaland

Kohima, Apr 18 (UNI) A two day State-level Orientation Workshop on LaQshya, the National Labour Room Quality Improvement Initiative and Maternal and Child Death Surveillance and response, PMSMA and GDM started from today at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare in Kohima.

Addressing the resource persons, officers and participants, R. Ramakrishnan, Commissioner and Secretary of the Nagaland Department of H&FW stated that, the State’s Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is better compared to the national level. He, however, appealed that, as service providers the department should strive towards achieving 0 per cent IMR and MMR.

Kannur (Kerala), April 26 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan shared a word of caution for CPI(M) central committee member and LDF state convenor EP Jayarajan on Friday amid rumours of his possible leap to the saffron side, following a meeting with BJP leader Prakash Javadekar in Thiruvananthapuram.
The CPI(M) politburo member talking to the media after voting at RC Amala school booth at Pinarayi near Dharmadam, said Jayarajan should practice caution while choosing friends from the political opponent spectrum.
