Naidu condemns attack on journalist

Vijayawada, Sep 24 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday condemned the attack on a Journalist in Prakasam district on Monday night.

Taking to Micro-Blogging site twitter, Mr Naidu said the attack on journalist Nagarjuna Reddy was 'inhuman'.

He was severely beaten up in the attack as he exposed the 'misdeeds' of ruling YSRCP.

The journalist was severely thrashed with sticks when he was coming back after submitting a memorandum to the Superintendent of police urging protection to him, Mr Naidu said and asked what the police are doing.

“Previously, a ruling party’s leader went to the house of a journalist and threatened him to kill, if he continued to expose their misdeeds.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy seems he do not want to see another newspaper in the state except his own Telugu daily Sakshi.

Is not an arbitrary rule?”, the former Chief Minister questioned.

It may be noted that the journalist Nayudu Nagarjuna Reddy was brutally thrashed with sticks and was dumped on a road side.

The injured journalist exposed the misdeeds of sand mafia.

He is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ongole.
