Nagaland Lokayukta dismisses case against Dy. CM

Nagaland Lokayukta dismisses case against Dy. CM

Kohima, Sep 20 (UNI) The Lokayukta of Nagaland has passed an order dismissing the complaint submitted by one Vicca S Aye against Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, terming the complaint as “devoid of substance in absence of any prima facie evidence to connect him (Patton) with such allegations and to engage the attention of the Lokayukta any further.”

“The complaint has been submitted in haste with deficient facts. The Lokayukta is not supposed to indulge in roving enquiry with a view to fish out materials and evidence to prove non-specific, bald and omnibus allegations made in the complaint. Thus, the complaint deserves to be rejected and is accordingly dismissed,” said Nagaland Lokayukta Justice Uma Nath in a 31-page order issued on September 18 last.
