More than 46 villagers of Motnalli in Yadgir District of Karnataka are suffering from Elephantiasis since many years

Yadgir, Nov 13 (UNI) More than 46 villagers, including 16 women and 30 men are suffering from Elephantiasis since many years in Motnalli village, about 50 km from here.
According to the District Health office sources while primary symptoms of the disease were found in 150
people of the same village. However, the filaria infections were found in Doranalli, Afzalpur, Chandriki , Pete Ammapur ,Konkal , Kolledenahalli Hattikuni, Gajarrkot , Khanapur,Rangampet in Surapur taluka but the disease was found among the highest number of people at Motnalli village in the district. Motnalli village has a population of 3,970 , including 1,986 men and 1,984 women . One or two infected persons could be found every family of the village .
