Minor fire in baby ICU in GMCH

Guwahati, Dec 28(UNI) A minor fire broke out in a Neo-natal intensive care unit of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here on Friday evening, leading to panic in the entire hospital premise.
MoS for Health Pijush Hazarika, who rushed to the GMCH following the incident, said smoke had come out of an electric device in the Neo-natal ICU.
Staff attending the ICU immediately sprayed a fire extinguisher on the device, creating more smoke-like atmosphere in the ICU and accentuating the panic, he said.
