Minister’s staff found with Rs 25.76 lakh cash stirs JD(S)-Congress government in Karnataka, BJP demands sacking of the minister Puttaranga Shetty

Bengaluru, Jan 5 (UNI) Opposition BJP today demanded the sacking of Backward Classes Minister Puttaranga Shetty belonging to Congress party from H D Kumaraswamy cabinet in Karnataka after a government staffer working in the minister’s office in Vikasa Soudha here was caught carrying Rs 25.76 lakh in cash out of the seat of power on Friday evening.
On Monday BJP demanded dismissal of both the minister from the cabinet and his staffer from government service and accused that the coalition government was struck deep in corruption and the chief minister had to explain to the people.
Mr Kumaraswamy was on the defensive and said in Hubballi city that he was not sure whether the detained person was really a government staffer in Mr Shetty’s office. ‘’There will be a probe and any wrongdoing was found, the guildy will be punished,’’ he said.
