Mining sector imp for country's growth: Chairman FICCI Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Jun 24 (UNI) FICCI Chhattisgarh State Council in association with Directorate General of Training, MSD&E on Wednesday organised a webinar on “Environmental Management & Skill development in Mining Sector”.
Chairman, FICCI Chhattisgarh & President Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. Mr Pradeep Tandon in his address stressed the need to achieve the best use of available mineral resources through scientific methods of mining, beneficiation, and economic utilization.
According to him mining is one of the most important sectors for growth of state and for country and mining activity often leads to environmental issues like land degradation, deforestation, atmospheric pollution, etc. affecting ecological balance of the area.
