Mild-un-Nabi celebrated with fervor, no night-long prayers due to COVID-19

Srinagar, Oct 30 (UNI) The Eid-Mild-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, was on Friday celebrated throughout the Kashmir valley with religious fervor and gaiety though night-long special prayers could not be held due to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the administration.
However, despite chilly winds, people, including women, joined “ Fajr” (morning) prayers at Asaar-e-Sharief Hazratbal on the bank of famed Dal Lake where they had the “ Deedar”(glimpse) of Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad. The devotees will have the glimpse of Holy Relic after every prayers throughout the day.
No night-long prayers were organized in the shrine due to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the administration.

3 nabbed for murder

Ratlam, MP, Dec 2 (UNI) Three persons were apprehended on Wednesday on the charge of gunning down a couple and their daughter on November 25 at their dwelling here, law-enforcement authorities said.
Prime accused Dileep – a ‘psycho killer’ who hails from Gujarat’s Dahod and is behind six homicides – is still at large and a reward of Rs 30,000 has been announced for his arrest. A considerable quantum of loot was appropriated from his accomplices Lala Bhabor, Anurag and Gaurav Bilwal.

Collision claims 2

Sheopur, MP, Dec 2 (UNI) Two tribal individuals died and eight sustained grievous injuries as a consequence of their jeep being rammed by a dumper in the vicinity of the Madhav Aawda reservoir on Wednesday, law-enforcement authorities said.
The victims, hailing from Nayagaon and Lakha villages, were rushed to the District infirmary but two succumbed en route.

3 girls drown

Shahdol, MP, Dec 2 (UNI) Three minors drowned on Wednesday while bathing in a pond at Shyamdih village, law-enforcement authorities said.
The incident occurred while the children’s parents were busy harvesting. The deceased were identified as Neha (5), Bendi Singh (6) and Sandhya Singh (9). When a fourth kid raised the alarm, locals rushed to the scene. The corpses were fished out and conveyed to the District infirmary for autopsy.

Boat accident in Pacheti

Agar-Malwa, MP, Dec 2 (UNI) Two persons met a watery grave and three are suspected to have suffered a similar fate when a boat capsized on Wednesday in the Pacheti Dam reservoir, law-enforcement authorities said.
The Lakhakhedi village residents were heading for a temple when the incident occurred. The corpses of Jaya (13) and her mother Ramkanya (35) were fished out whereas a search is underway for Abhishek (10), Alka (13) and their parent Suneeta (40).
