Mayawati supports farmers stir, ask Centre to reconsider new farm law

Lucknow, Nov 29 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has slammed the Centre over farmers' protest and demanded that it should reconsider over the approved farm law.

In a tweet on Sunday morning, Ms Mayawati said, "The farmers are angry and agitated all over the country expressing their disagreement about the recently implemented three laws related to agriculture by the central government. In view of this, if the Central Government reconsiders these laws, made without the consent of the farmers, it would be better."

All the opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh has given their support to the farmers agitating and had marched from Punjab to New Delhi to protest against the new farm law.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) in UP too have supported the farmers and they too have joined the stir in several places in the state.
