Man shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Doda's Bhaderwah

Jammu, May 16 (UNI) A man was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

"One Nayeem Shah, a resident of Mohalla Qila, Bhaderwah, was killed after unknown persons fired upon him at Nalthi Pull during wee hours at around 0200 hours," police sources here said.

They said that he died on the spot, adding, "a case has been registered and investigation started."

“Body has been taken for postmortem and would be handed over to the family after completion of the medico legal formalities,” the officer said.

"We are investigating the matter," SSP Doda Shabir Malik here told UNI.

He added, "we are finding out whether it was a political killing or out of some rivalry."

Meanwhile authorities have imposed restrictions to prevent any disturbances in law and order in Bhaderwah.
