KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao quits due to party debacle in LS Polls

Bengaluru, May 25 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Dinesh Gundu Rao today resigned from his post owning moral responsibility after the party received a severe drubbing in the Lok Sabha.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said he is quitting owning the moral responsibility. The election result were shocking and he never expected that the party would fare so badly but accepted the voters’ verdict.
However, AICC General Secretary and party in-charge for Karnataka K C Venugopal has said that Mr Gundu Rao would continue at the helm of the party in Karnataka and his resignation from the post was not accepted.
