Kerala Govt orders Vigilance probe into bribe allegations in Life Mission Housing Scheme

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) Kerala Government has ordered a Vigilance probe into the bribe allegations in the Life Mission Housing Scheme.
There was an allegation that Rs 4.5 crore was paid as bribe in connection with construction of 140 apartments and a primary health centre under the scheme at Wadakancherry in the state.
Home Secretary TK Jose issued an order on Tuesday night to probe the allegations as the representatives of the Life Mission and the UAE based NGO Emirates Red Crescent had signed a contract to implement the housing scheme for the poor, sources said on Wednesday.
